Upgrading runes is very useful, specifically in single player, where you are unable to trade with other players and you have to do run after run trying to get a specific high rune to drop. There are more cube recipes if you bother to look them up but these recipes are the only ones that I have found useful. This works for all the gems that you find whilst playing Diablo 2. The Cube can also be used for upgrading any gems/runes that you find whilst playing the game. Only one cube can be held at a time, and if you lose it, you can get another one by going back to the Halls of the Dead and clicking the gold chest. 3x Flawed Topaz 3x El Runes, 1x Eld Rune. This makes it useful for extra inventory space when you are not using it to transmute items. D2 Resurrected Horadric Cube Recipes 3x Chipped Topaz, 1x Flawed Topaz. The Cube takes up 4 inventory spaces and if you right click on it, it holds 12. Khalim’s Will is used to smash the orb and to fight the Act III Boss, Mephisto. The Cube is also necessary in Act 3 to transform Khalim’s body parts and flail into Khalim’s Will. You will find the cube when completing the quest 'The Horadric Staff'. There are different types as well as qualities of these gems, both deciding what kind of stats you will recieve when socketing it into gear. The Horadric Cube is found in Act 2 in the Halls of the Dead Level III. A Gem in Diablo II is one of three small items that can be placed in a socket to enchance your gear. There are not many Horadric Cube recipes that make good Jewelry outside of the Gambling Jewelry Recipes which you can learn more about on the page I link to.
